Champ remembers the day he and Jim met for the first time. He wasn’t the youngest or cutest puppy at the rescue center, so imagine his surprise when he got to go home with Jim! What follows are years of fun, love and laughter as Champ and Jim become best friends.
Now, Champ is 11 years old. His joints ache and he gets tired easily. He’s not as active and cute as he used to be. But, of course, Jim loves him regardless.
Then one day, Jim’s friend gives him a new puppy named Nova. A puppy, of all things! Is Champ no longer enough? Is Jim looking to replace him?
Nova loves Champ right from the start, so Champ grudgingly tries to share his life with the younger, more energetic dog. Champ watches sadly as Nova gets to do what he and Jim used to do, like running around and playing frisbee at the park.
One day things take a shocking turn when Champ and Nova realize Jim need their help!
