The Mermaid and the Magic Mirror

In the depths of Turquoise Reef, amid glowing coral and iridescent fish, lived Coralia, a young mermaid with flowing sea-silk hair and a shimmering silver tail. Although the entire ocean loved her for her laughter, Coralia spent hours staring at shell reflections, worrying whether her scales were as dazzling as those of other mermaids.

Without a second thought, Coralia darted forward, used a sharp shell to gently slice the netting, and cradled the frightened turtle until it swam happily into the current.

When Coralia returned to the cave to retrieve her pearl headband, she gasped: the mirror was radiating a glorious golden dawn. Within the crystal glass, her face shone with a warm, luminous beauty that lit up the entire seabed.
